Join us for a summer’s afternoon on Sunday June 28th, 1-4 pm in the Historical Village. Tour the buildings and transportation collection. Enjoy learning more about a favorite summer fruit from vine to table. Stop to admire the alpaca and taste fresh homemade strawberry ice cream. Take a horse drawn buggy ride to the farm (Spring Ledge Farm) down the road apiece. Raffles, crafts, games and the penny candy store are all part of the festival.

One can take in the Village tours and exhibits which are open all afternoon. Allow time to stroll the grounds and visit the many buildings that depict life in New London in the mid-19th century. You will marvel at the Transportation Collection of 25 restored horse drawn carriages. Guided tours will run throughout the festival.

  • Attend a workshop at 2 pm brought to us by the UNH Extension. A Master Gardner will speak on how to select, grow and cultivate your own strawberries. Discover delicious and healthy ways to add the strawberry to your menu and preserve them for enjoyment all year long in jellies and jams
  • Learn more about the alpaca’s with the folks from Skyeview Alpaca farm, located in Elkins, NH.
  • Enjoy simple toys and visit Bill Burris from Wilmot. Bill will be in the Phillips Barn, sharing his collection of wooden toys for folks of all ages.
  • Crafty children will delight in creating personalized strawberry art and smile while getting their faces painted.
  • Help crank out delicious strawberry ice cream! A creamy dream delight- especially after you’ve taken a turn at the churning of this treat.
  • Stop at the General Store for a wide variety of penny candy, cold beverages and participate in the raffles. Take a chance to win- Vintage Country Cottage Kitchen Hand Painted Strawberry Tole Tray; hooked pillow of vintage wooden boat and a Ebelskiver pan for cooking up your own strawberry creations.
This event holds something for everyone- we look forward to seeing you in the Village!
