The 2008 Art Show & Sale concluded yesterday. A record 300 guests attended the Friday evening Preview Party and enjoyed the 200+ pieces of artwork, libations, and Jack's catering. Art sales at the show were much slower than past years— perhaps reflecting the uncertain economy, perhaps reflecting the addition of so many new outlets for purchasing original artwork year-round.
We believe that our Art Show & Sale combines fund-raising, cultural stewardship, and community-building in one great event, so we would like to see the long-standing tradition continue, but the Art Show Committee is asking for your suggestions as it assesses the event. Please contact us with your thoughts.
