We have just concluded the 2008 Young at Art Show on a perfect spring day.
Held on (nearly) a biennial basis, the show was first introduced in 1999 as a way to highlight the great artwork created by the area's youth and as a complement to our long-established Art Show & Sale, which we would hesitate to call the "Old at Art Show!"
This year 162 pieces were entered by 103 students, representing the towns of Andover, Bradford, Croydon, Grantham, New London, Newport, Springfield, Sunapee, Sutton, Unity, and Wilmot.
We especially want to thank the participants, the show organizers, Jody Cooper and Janet Royle, its artist-judges, Annie Ballin, Grace Cooper, and Allison Vernon, and the donors of cash prizes, totaling $625. Thank you all for another very successful event.
The list of winning entries in each category is available here. The artwork will soon be on display at Tracy Memorial Library in New London.
